Our mission is to protect and restore a thriving bird sanctuary in the mountains of Pérez Zeledón — a place where wildlife comes first, and where people can experience the profound connection between nature, stillness, and personal renewal.
Set across 18 acres within a natural corridor linking mountain forests to the coast, this land provides critical habitat for both resident and migratory bird species. From the intricate nesting behavior of oropendolas to the quiet presence of toucans moving through the canopy, the sanctuary offers a rare opportunity to observe birdlife as it was meant to be — undisturbed, authentic, and alive.
Through careful stewardship, native habitat preservation, and thoughtfully designed trails and observation points, we aim to create an environment where birding is immersive, respectful, and deeply rewarding.
At the same time, we believe that time spent in nature — listening to birdsong, walking slowly through forest paths, and disconnecting from the noise of everyday life — has a powerful, grounding effect. The sanctuary is not only a refuge for wildlife, but also a space where people can reset, reflect, and reconnect with something real.

With a deep appreciation for birds, photography, and the natural rhythms of the forest, they have committed themselves to preserving this space as both a sanctuary for wildlife and a place of calm for those who visit.
